What Is Student Confirmation Class?
Confirmation class is a structured Christian education program that helps middle school and high school students explore their faith, understand core Christian beliefs, and make their own personal commitment to Jesus Christ. Unlike Sunday school, confirmation provides an in-depth study designed for teens ready to claim their faith as their own.
Our Confirmation Program: Teaching Kids About Jesus
In January 2026, six students completed our four-month Confirmation Class and made a public declaration of faith. This milestone represents the culmination of their journey to understand what it truly means to follow Jesus.
How We Guide Students to Jesus
Our faith formation curriculum takes students through:
- Line-by-line study of the Apostle’s Creed – Students examine each statement to understand its meaning and determine if they personally believe it
- Small group discussions with adult mentors who facilitate meaningful conversation
- Personal reflection on their relationship with Jesus Christ
- Public profession of faith where students declare their beliefs before the church community
The Apostle’s Creed: Foundation of Christian Faith
Students in our confirmation class study and ultimately profess:
I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

- Three were baptized – making their first public commitment to Christ
- Three reaffirmed their faith – publicly declaring beliefs they were exploring more deeply
