Ongoing Care
Stephen Ministers
Are you experiencing a difficult time in life? Perhaps it is due to grief, divorce, job loss, chronic or terminal illness, or relocation. We are here to help. Coker has Stephen Ministers who come from all walks of life, and all share a passion for bringing Christ’s love and care to people during a time of need. Stephen Ministers are trained to provide one-to-one care. If you are in need of a Stephen Minister, or if you would like to become a Stephen Minister, please contact Communications@coker.org and you will be connected with the team.

Caregiver’s Workshops
Have you heard stories of people who desire to fulfill the wishes of their loved ones, but simply do not know what those wishes are? Perhaps a loved one is suddenly struck ill and unable to communicate their desires. It’s never too early to make caregiving plans. Making plans in advance, relieves the burden on your family to have to try and decide for you. Caregiver’s workshop dates will be posted on Coker.org/Events and topics include: How to manage finances, how to make a caregiving plan, how to make plans for long-term care, how to plan a funeral, and more. Make plans in advance so your family is free to spend time with you, time together, and do not have to guess on your wishes.
Coker Adult Fellowship
Coker Adult Fellowship gathers for a potluck lunch on the First Thursday of the month. Various speakers attend the event to share knowledge. This is a great chance to meet and fellowship with other senior adults. Contact Gail.Hatcher@coker.org for details or visit Coker.org/events to see the next upcoming CAF Luncheon.

Columbarium
Be a part of a historical area in San Antonio by being placed in a Coker Columbarium Niche. Making after-life decisions now, eases the burden on your family- they can know and honor your wishes. Contact Gail.Hatcher@coker.org to learn more.
GriefShare
Need help navigating grief? Join a GriefShare support group. It is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Through the group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support each step of the way. Contact Gail.Hatcher@coker.org to inquire about when the next group will begin.
