All students grades 6-12 are invited to join us for worship at 9:30am in the sanctuary and then Sunday school where we learn more about God’s Word in an engaging way to help students be disciples of Jesus

High School Group
Age:          Grade 9-Grade 12

Every Sunday afternoon from 12:15-2:00pm, our new high school group meets at Coker for a weekly Bible Study, check-in, and walking through life together as a community. On campus, we’ll meet downstairs Wesley Hall (E-mail for details). Each meeting will include lunch. All current 9th-12th are invited to join us!


Youth Choir | 5 PM
All youth, girls AND guys in grades 6-12, are welcome in the Youth Choir Wednesdays at 5 PM (Fall Youth Choir Begins Sept 1st). We are a smaller ensemble, but we sing challenging music in 2 and 3 parts. The Youth Choir meets in person in the Sanctuary every Wednesday and sings live in worship about once a month. We invite all of our 6th-12th students to join us for Revive Winter Retreat at Camp Eagle. We will be leaving after school on Friday Feb. 3rd, and will return Sunday afternoon on Feb. 5th. This will be a fantastic weekend of reconnecting with God, building new friendships, and experiencing community worship in a fun and exciting atmosphere. Adult leaders sign up HERE today!

All students, parents, and adult leaders are invited to an informational meeting about the new Student Ministry Vision Team that will form to receive vision from God on the future of Coker Students. Please join Monday February 6 at 7pm in the Wesley Room (downstairs) to learn more.

Middle School Mission Trip (For those who completed 6th-8th grades) | June 4-8

Save the date! Our Middle School Mission Trip will be from June 4-8 2023, so be sure to get that added to your calendar!

We will be partnering with First Methodist Temple to do a combined Middle School Mission Trip from June 4th through the 8th!  We will be heading to the DFW metroplex to serve in a variety of ways. Cost will be $200, be sure to sign-up as soon as possible and don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity to put compassion into action!

High School Mission Trip (For those who completed 9th-12th grades) | June 17-24

Save the date! Our High School Mission Trip will be from June 17-24 2023, so be sure to get that added to your calendar! We will be serving with the Evangelical Methodist Church of Costa Rica, led by Ray and Lydia Zirkel.  We will be working on building church buildings and serving with children in a VBS-style environment. Cost: $1500.00. This includes flights, lodging and meals while in country, transportation while in country, materials for our work, and a fun day white water rafting or ziplining, and a trip T-shirt.  Registering and securing your spot means paying a $100.00 deposit. The deadline to do so is March 15, 2023. The deadline to pay the entire cost is May 1, 2023. On June 9, 2018, a new Child, Youth, and Vulnerable Adult safety policy and accompanying procedures went into effect for ALL Rio Texas Churches (including Coker UMC). Every adult who works with children, youth, and/or vulnerable adults (Staff, Volunteer, Clergy, or Lay) must be certified through the new TRUSTed con Confianza certification process. This includes but not limited to those who volunteer with the food pantry, Eagle Pass, ERT, mission trips etc.  If you fall into any of these categories please contact Mario Garcia at for more information to get trained.
